What We Believe
The Inspiration of the Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired (meaning God-Breathed) Word of God, given by God for His people. 2 Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully human and fully God (divine). Although Christ's humanity has a beginning, His divinity has always existed. John 1:1, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us; and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Virgin Birth (Mary was a virgin at the time of her conception)
Jesus' mother, Mary, conceived Christ by the agent of the Holy Spirit. At that moment, Christ's body was spoken into existence. Read Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18, 20.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a member of the Godhead (God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit). He is eternal, all powerful, present, and all knowing. The Holy Spirit is “God in us.†Acts 5:3, 4; Hebrews 9:14; Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14.
The Trinity (3 Natures from 1 Substance)
We believe in One God. The One God is Father (2 Peter 1:17), the Son (John 1:1, 14, 20-28), and God the Holy Spirit. The three separate and distinct persons are the one God equal in substance, power, and glory.
The Bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ was literally resurrected from the dead. Jesus died upon the cross at Calvary but early Easter morning He physically and spiritually rose from the dead. Christianity is a resurrection religion. 1 Corinthians 15:1 ff (12-19).
Salvation through Christ Alone
There is no other way for one to enter into Heaven except through the doorway of Jesus Christ. Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) Jesus makes it plain. There is no Plan for one eternity outside of Him.
