Jr./Sr. High Youth Spotlight

Our Jr/Sr High Youth are a very busy, active group. During their Youth Fellowship meetings, one
Sunday per month is dedicated to a service project. One recent project was making dog toys from
blue jean scraps for the Animal Protective League. Another service project completed was Wellness
Bags for the Micro Pantry. The bags included soup, socks, tissues, cough drops, hot chocolate, and
chapstick.

Please take a look at the prayer garden where they have cleaned, weeded, and added flowers as well
as mulch. You could also have seen them stuffing Easter Eggs with candy as well as “hiding” them,
and manning the games for the Easter Egg Hunt at Sugar Creek. The Youth have volunteered at
Midwest Mission and will be helping serve the meal at the Land of Lincoln Barbershop show to be
held at Sugar Creek on May 3 and 4.

Vacation Bible School coming June 23-27 will find those students who are available helping with
our younger youth. And, possibly most importantly, you can find Jr and Sr High youth providing
and serving refreshments every third Sunday during the Sunday morning Fellowship Time.
The Youth will be embarking this summer on a Mission Trip to West Virginia through Mission
Serve – July 7 – July 13, 2024.

So thankful for our youth and their contributions to Sugar Creek and its ministries!
