Scripture: Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2 NRSV) Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching. (2 Timothy 4:2).
Prayer: God the Father, Son, and Spirit, as Christ’s disciples and Christ’s church, we pray we will remain alert, devoting ourselves to praying with thanksgiving, proclaiming the gospel message in good times and in bad, and convincing, rebuking, encouraging, and teaching others with the utmost patience. Amen.
