Exciting New Additions to YOUR Church Website

Over the last few weeks, we have been busy improving and expanding the Sugar Creek church website at www.SugarCreek.org and most of those updates are ready to roll out.

User Accounts—Every church member and regular attendee has either been given a user account or can set one up on the website. Once you log in using your username and password (at sugarcreek.org/login) multiple sections will become unlocked such as the church directory and photo album. If you still need to set up your account, head to www.sugarcreek.org/ newaccount. You can find all these sections under the mySC link.

Volunteer Schedule—We are bringing back worship volunteers at Sugar Creek! We are looking for those who would like to work in the technology booth, read scripture, or deliver a children’s message. Once signed up for a Sunday, your name will show up in the Worship Volunteers sections of mySC and you will receive a reminder email from the website on Thursday. If you want to add your name to the mix, let Ron know at ron@sugarcreek.org.

SC Teams Online—An amazing new addition to the website just rolled out. Each person who serves on a church team now has access to Sugar Creek Teams Online, a forum for each team to post minutes, notes, agendas, ideas, and more. All the content lives on the website and is available for you when you log in from any phone, tablet, or computer. When a new member joins a team, all the information is available to view back to today. One location, for ALL your info. Team members can post and comment on threads, and search for the info they need.

Signups—Paper and pencil sign up forms are sooo 1999. Now, when you wish to sign up for a position at VBS, the Pork Chop Dinner the Holy Week prayer vigil, and more, head to the website under sugarcreek.org/serve to add your name. If you have trouble, let Ron know on Sunday or at ron@sugarcreek.org.

Updatable Household Information—Now you have the ability to update your phone numbers, email addresses, house address, and household family members from your own dashboard online. Found under the mySC tab, you can update any of your household family members and add new ones all without having to call the church office. Of course, Sheila or Ron are still happy to take your call if you need help updating your account.

A major sticking point for this migration into the new system is that many of the church couples have the same email address listed for each other. The user accounts are tied to an email address and if couples share an email, most if not all the church website components will not work correctly. For household members who do not have an email, please consider making a free email at gmail, yahoo, or mail.com and updating your account at sugarcreek.org. If you need help doing this, please let Ron know.
